A June suprize?
Congratulations to the U.S. military. A long time coming, they deserve a victory.
So does the country - but you can bet that this will be used against Democrats intead of for the country as we inch closer to the fall.

Isn't that the most screwed up thing? Somehow, the military killing him will become Republican fodder for why Democrats suck. One interesting notion, though, is that several of the Democratic hopefuls are in support of the war.
And, yes, those same Democrats have been highly critical of the running of the war...but does one Zarqawi cancel out years of wrong turns?
Of course not. And that is what every anaylist has been saying for the past week. I did see John Boehner give the death the old Republican spin on CNN, and Nancy Pelosi took the high ground. My guess is that this will be forgotten by September, for better or worse.
